Some professionals have fixed> the prices for writing Phds. This business is> roaring in India. If such is the situaton one need> not worried about the quality of the Phds and the> research papers. No professional is really working> the current topics in ICT and its use in Libraries.> The actual working Librarians are not taken for> guiding the Phds and the teachers have not the hands> on practice in ICT and related topics. They take up> the issues by reading the articles and never> understand the topic and try to copy the same. This> is what happening in India. To our surprise they> copy chapter by chapter and make a book and not> having any sequence or relationship of each para.> Then they send the thesis book to one of their close> friend for evaluation and get the good remarks. I> know one real situation who produced a phd on ICT.> Nether the guide nor the evaluator or the candidate> have the the knoledge of the topic. But it was> recommeded for gold medal.
