Talking_Libraries_In_India
Talking Libraries in India: Talking Books, or books on audio tapes are now produced by many libraries in India. Given here is a list of such libraries These are specially books meant for blind people
All India Confderation of the Blind:Delhi – Produces Audio Books
Arushi :Bhopal – Produces Audio Books
Blind People association :Ahmedabad – Produces Audio Books
Blind Relief Asociation: Delhi -The library has a Cassette Recording Studio for text books
Electronic Media Production Centre :IGNOU, Delhi – Produces Audio Books
Govt Institution for the blind: Panjab - – Produces Audio Books
Kerala Federation for Blind: Kerala -records and distributes books on tapes
Mitra Jyothi: Bangalore – Produces Audio Books
NAB M.P. Shah All-India Talking Book Center:Mumbai - Around 2,561 titles in nine languages, namely: Gujarati, Sanskrit, Marathi, Hindi, Urdu, Bengali, Kannada, Tamil and English . Novels, fiction and other recreational literature. Monthly talking magazines: Listeners Digest in English, Indradhanush in Hindi, Saptarang in Marathi, and Swarsangam in Gujarati.
Textbooks on law, economics and other subjects for University, High School and Secondary schools.
National Institute of Visually Handicap (NIVH): The institute has a National Talking Book Library (Audio Books) that has nearly 15,000 individual and Reader's Club members. The Unit records text books, novels, general books and magazines. The books are recorded on master cassettes and duplicated for individuals and organisations on a loan basis, free of charge
Rotary Helen Keller Talking Book Library:Tamil Nadu - School text books (as prescribed by the Government of Tamilnadu 6th to 12th Standards) ,College text books ,General knowledge books, Short stories/novels, Self-improvement books
R.N. Batra Talking Book Library:Delhi - Persons above 5 years of age can avail the services by depositing a refundable security deposit of Rupees 100 for five audiocassettes. Institutional membership is for Rupees 1,000
Shruti Information Centre:Delhi - Produces Audio Books
The British Library:Pune - The British library in Pune has a collection of around 500 titles of audio books in CDs
The Poona Blind Men’s Association: Pune – Produces Audio Books
Victoria Memorial School:Maharashtra - it has ‘Braille’ books, 'talking' books such as recorded cassettes and CDs, has Reading Machines, an enlargement equipment to help those with low vision. It also provides access to Internet and has space for listening to music and read-aloud sessions.

One of the unique toys and books library in this area, the library aims to give the children the right toy at the right time. The have a collection around 400 toys and games and 400 books.
